Dear Susan,

You are practically the first email I am writing because I want you to know how pleased we all were with the trip you arranged for us. Let’s pretend the Xian snafu never happened!

Swain did a superb job: all of the local guides were excellent, the tours were terrific and the hotels at a much higher level than what we experienced in the first part of our trip. I hope that Swain will send each of our guides an email of special thanks. “Joe”(Zhou)in Guilin, was our particular favorite but we appreciated all of them.
